Is There Easy access to the Villa?
Yes. Sergio our house manager, will meet and greet you at the villa. He will help you settle in and answer any questions. He is available your entire stay, so you always have someone to help you. Sergio speaks English and lives near by. He can be reached by text on WhatsApp a great free app.
Also note: tips are always appreciated in Mexico.
Good Deep Sea Fishing?
Yes, World renown deep sea fishing local experienced fisherman will take up to 3 or 4 people in his panga or a larger covered boat for 5 to 6 people, you will need to pay for bait a tip is always appreciated. Dorado, Yellow Tail and even Marlin are in the Sea of Cortez. Just let me know and we would be happy to reserve the type of fishing that is best for your group. We have a large deep freeze at the Villa for your catch of the day. Our Chef can also cook it up for your dinner. Bring a cooler to bring your fish home.
Restaurant near by?
Yes, there are two, The 1535 is great Mexican fare reasonably priced. It is an open air restaurant right on the beach with a great view of the bay. It is in walking distance (15 min) down the beach.
Also The Buffalo Room just steps out your front door.
Also, My friend Teddy has just opened a new restaurant in nearby Las Ventanna is aptly named Teddy’s. Check it out and tell him I sent you there.
We also offer a private chef to cook for you in the Villa. America makes an array of Mexican favorites. She purchases, prepares, serves and does clean up it is family style dinning. Her flan is fabubuloso!

Snorkeling nearby?
Yes, just walk out your door a few hundred feet down the beach there is great snorkeling in the coral. Bring your own gear. Or there is a boat that will take you on a snorkel expedition for the day that we will arrange for you on request. Watch out for Sting Rays
Windsurfing nearby?
Yes, World Class windsurfing and Kite Boarding in La Ventanna just 20 min away. Instruction and rentals available. Main seasonDecember to March.
Scuba Dive Master available?
Yes, they can take you out for scuba diving, or free diving spear fishing.
Stand up Paddle Boards for rent?
Yes. We rent stand up paddle boards for $35 per day or $200 for the week. We have two one is standard size and one is a little smaller.
Sea Kayaks?
Yes, There are two on top sea kayaks available for guest use. They are on the beach for your use and the bay is calm for fun paddling. They come with the Villa Rental .
Maid Service?
Yes. The Villa is thoroughly clean and provided with fresh linens, before and after your stay. America, Vicki andLinda do daily light housekeeping during your visit. There are also towels provided for the pool, please be green and reuse your pool towel. Sheets are changed on visits longer than one week.
Water: Can I drink the water from the tap?
No, but we provide bottled drinking water for your stay and for brushing your teeth.
Is there a hair dryer so I don’t need to bring mine?
Yes, there is a hair dyer that you can use in each room.
Is it on a nice Beach?
Yes. The house is located right on a bluff overlooking the beach just a few steps to the sand. Some times you find you are the only one on the beach. Waves are usually kid friendly, and just a little more surf in the summer. Do the “Baja Shuffle” to avoid the sand sting rays.
Massage therapist nearby?
Yes. Veronica or Theresa do a wonderful job. Just let us know and we will reserve you a time for her to come to the house and you can have your massage under the Palaypa in the sea breeze off the dune. $85 for one hour.
Is there a gym near by that I can work out?
Yes, there is a small gym in walking distance.
Weather good?
Yes, Usually warm and sunny, with a range of 90’s in the summer to 70’s in the winter. Usually the only rain is in the hurricane season, September.
Phone or Internet access?
NO, There is no telephone at Villa Mirasol. But there is a camera on the computer so you can use your Skype acct.
We use the app “WhatsApp” for texting and calling.
YES We have satellite internet service. There is a computer there for your use. We also have wireless connection so you can check your email on your laptop or smart phone by the pool. Sergio has the Password
Wedding location?
Yes. We enjoy hosting small intimate weddings. The house stays at the same prices as listed on the Internet for the nights that you stay. The Wedding day has a $1,000 event fee.
Is the beach crowded? no
Laundry Service
We have a washer and dryer that our staff can do a little laundry for you for a small fee. (no delicates)
Golf Course
Yes, there is a Golf Course near by. But it is Temporarily CLOSED

Alcoholic Beverages available?
Yes, There are alcoholic beverages available at the “Mini Supers” in nearby San Juan de Los Planes. There is also a bar at the Buffalo Room next door and a full bar at 1535 Restaurant a stroll down the beach.
Smoking allowed in the house?
No. Villa Mirasol is a non smoking property. No smoking is allowed anywhere on the property. No smoking inside or out subject to a $500 fine.
Pets allowed?
Sorry no, pets are not allowed at Villa Mirasol.
General Aviation airstrip nearby?
Yes, Los Arenas airstrip is just 5 minutes from the Villa The lat and long of the airport is Lat 23 degrees 57.068' north and Long 109 degrees 53.741' west There are no services and it is NOT a port of entry. There is a security guard and airstrips do close at dusk. You can find it listed in Air Baja by Hanselman, a great guide for flying the Baja. We can also arrange to have Sergio pick you up at the airport we just let him know your aprox. time of arrival and have you "buzz" the house and he will come out to get you. No commercial flights.
NOTE: THE AIRSTRIP IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED AT THIS TIME La Paz has an airport that has a great General Aviation area.
Best option for commercial flights are
La Paz international airport 1 hour from Villa Mirasol long travel times from the states
BEST San Jose de Cabo international airport 2 1/4 hour drive
We have a professional transportation service that will pick you up. Roberto has a 12 passenger van with a luggage rack on top. He will hold a sign that says Villa Mirasol and your name. La paz $150 San Jose $250 each way plus 12% tax.
